Our approach
Clear words. Small choices. No pressure to grieve one “right” way.
The Little Goodbye Project is a working educational resource for adults helping children remember and say goodbye to a beloved pet.
Our editorial principles
- Use concrete language while remaining gentle.
- Treat age ranges as educational starting points, not diagnoses.
- Make every child activity optional.
- Separate physical facts from a family’s spiritual beliefs.
- Show sources and update dates on guidance pages.
- Correct material errors transparently.
- Collect the least information possible.
Language boundaries
We avoid guilt, urgency, “perfect closure,” guaranteed healing, or claims that one ritual will resolve grief. Families may participate, pause, remember privately, or choose a different path.
Working-brand note
The Little Goodbye Project is a working name. A formal trademark and registrar review must be completed before public launch.
